We absolutely love the blog Saving the Season! The site is run by Kevin West, who is currently anticipating the release of his new book, Saving the Season: A Cook's Guide to Home Canning, Pickling, and Preserving, which will be available at the end of June.
Saving the Season is about home canning—or "putting up" as one might say where Kevin is from—and it covers jams and other fruit preserves, pickles and briny things, canned vegetables and condiments such as relishes, sauces, salsas and more, all made from seasonal produce.
